Terms of Service

1. General Provisions

1.1. By registering with the project, the User confirms that they have read this Agreement, accept all of its terms and are entitled to enter into it.

1.2. By computing means the project recreates a virtual environment — the world of Wyrdstone — and allows the User to take part in its life and to change that world within the limits set by the Rules of the game.

1.3. The world of Wyrdstone is information and software material in any form: text, images, sound, program code, hosted on the project's servers. Copying, distributing or otherwise reproducing the project's material, in part or in whole, without the written permission of the Administration is forbidden.

1.4. Any natural person who has the necessary technical means and has completed registration may become a User. The project is recommended for those aged 14 and over. Those below the age of majority must agree their participation with their legal guardians.

1.5. The world of Wyrdstone is built for round-the-clock use by many Users at once. Their dealings with one another are governed by the Rules of the game, published on the Rules page.

1.6. The project sends no mailing lists. An e-mail address is needed only for signing in and for matters concerning the account; news is published on the site and in the project's Discord.

1.7. The Administration grants access to the project free of charge. The User bears their own connection costs. The Administration may offer optional paid services, whose list and price it sets itself.

1.8. The text of the Agreement may be changed or added to by the Administration unilaterally and without separate notice. Changes take effect the moment they are published on this page. A User who does not agree with them is free to stop using the project.

2. Subject of the Agreement

2.1. The Administration provides the User with access to the world of Wyrdstone around the clock, except during maintenance work on the project's equipment or that of its provider.

2.2. Access may be limited or suspended in circumstances of force majeure — that is, events capable of disabling equipment or otherwise obstructing the project's operation: natural events, accidents, decisions of the authorities, hostilities and the like.

2.3. In such circumstances the Administration bears no responsibility either for the impossibility of access or for the absence of oversight of the gameplay.

2.4. The project is provided «as is». The Administration does not guarantee the absence of errors in the code or of technical failures. The User plays at their own risk; losses caused to them in the course of using the project are not compensated.

2.5. The Administration is entitled to regulate the gameplay according to its own view of the balance of all Users' interests, including by means whose outcome is not determined in advance.

2.6. The User undertakes to observe the terms of this Agreement and the Rules of the game.

2.7. The Administration is entitled to refuse registration and access to the project at any time without explanation.

2.8. Since access to the world of Wyrdstone is free, the Administration is entitled to close the project — for instance, if Users lose interest or if the cost of running it becomes unjustified. Access is terminated no earlier than one month after the closure is announced.

2.9. On withdrawing from the Agreement, and equally on the closure of the project, the User is not entitled to claim the value of virtual valuables back in money or in any other form, nor compensation for presumed losses.

3. Rights and Obligations of the User

3.1. The User is entitled to use the world of Wyrdstone solely for personal, non-commercial purposes and in accordance with the Rules of the game.

3.2. On registering, the User chooses a name and a password that identify them uniquely. A name belongs to whoever registered it first: if the desired name is taken, another must be chosen.

3.3. The User must keep the details needed to sign in secret themselves, and themselves bear the risk of their disclosure.

3.4. There is no automatic password recovery in the game. In the event of hacking, theft of a character or loss of access, the Administration is entitled to refuse to restore the character and their property if the User cannot confirm that the account belongs to them. Requests are accepted through the support form on the site.

3.5. The User is entitled to own and control one character only. Passing one's sign-in details to others, and obtaining such details from third parties, is forbidden.

3.6. The User undertakes not to commit acts contrary to the Rules of the game or to the law.

3.7. The User may not make use of errors in the game's operation and must report to the Administration at once both the errors themselves and any known cases of others using them.

3.8. The User undertakes to treat others with respect. Obscene language, threats of violence and of physical harm outside the game are forbidden, as is distributing material that expresses or incites rejection of, or hatred towards, any religion, culture, race, nation, people, language, politics or social movement.

3.9. The User may not limit others' access to the game or hinder their use of it. Distributing malicious code and links to it is forbidden. Any violations by other Users that come to the User's knowledge must be reported to the Administration at once.

4. Rights and Obligations of the Administration

4.1. The Administration undertakes not to knowingly disclose to third parties the details supplied by the User on registration — except in cases provided for by law.

4.2. The Administration is not answerable to the User for the actions of other Users. Users' opinions may differ from those of the Administration.

4.3. The Administration itself sets the value of objects in the world of Wyrdstone and is entitled to change it in either direction at any time. A difference in the value of one and the same object at different times is not a loss to the User: it is a consequence of regulating the gameplay.

4.4. Money received from the User for paid services is converted into in-game gold at the rate set by the Administration. The rate may be changed unilaterally and without prior warning.

4.5. The Administration is not answerable for the receipt of funds obtained contrary to law or against the will of their owner. Such disputes are settled between the User and the lawful owner of the funds without the Administration's involvement.

4.6. All requests concerning the game and access to it are accepted through the support form on the site. Requests are considered in Russian, English and Ukrainian; the reply is given in the language of the request.

4.7. The Administration is entitled not to answer unfounded or unclear requests, or questions already answered on the site or in the in-game Library.

4.8. The Administration is not answerable for the loss of a request sent outside the support form.

5. Other Terms

5.1. The Agreement takes effect the moment the User registers.

5.2. The Agreement is of unlimited duration.

5.3. The Agreement is drawn up in Russian. The English and Ukrainian translations are provided for convenience; where readings differ, the Russian text prevails.

5.4. Conduct in the game, the kinds of violation and the penalties for them are set by the Rules of the game. They form an inseparable part of this Agreement.

6. User Data

6.1. To operate an account the Project stores the login, e-mail address, encrypted password, game progress and messages in the game channels. This information is required for signing in, restoring access and running the game mechanics.

6.2. When the site is visited, technical information is collected automatically: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed and the referral source. It is used to prevent abuse, troubleshoot faults and measure traffic.

6.3. The site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the sign-in session, remember language settings and collect anonymised statistics.

6.4. The Project uses third-party analytics and advertising services: Google Analytics and Google Ads (Google LLC) and the Meta pixel (Meta Platforms, Inc.). These services receive anonymised information about visits to the site and actions on it, including the fact of registration, and use it to measure advertising performance. Processing on their side is governed by those companies' policies: policies.google.com/privacy and facebook.com/privacy/policy.

6.5. The Project does not sell personal data and does not pass it to third parties, except in the cases named in clause 6.4 and where required by law.

6.6. The User may refuse analytics collection by browser means — cookie settings or extensions that block trackers. This does not affect access to the game.

6.7. The User may request deletion of the account and the data associated with it through the support form. Messages in public channels and records of violations may be kept in anonymised form.

6.8. Data is kept while the account exists and is deleted or anonymised after the account is removed.
